These past few weeks have been so busy with a schedule that my planner didn't even have enough room for. That being said, there was nothing I could have used more than a week to unwind and reboot. I decided to make an impromptu trip to the Adirondacks with my family, and it was just what I needed to finish these last few weeks of my internship and summer class strong. It's hard to believe I only have a few more weeks of my summer vacation left! It truly feels like it goes by quicker each year. This past week on the lake and in the mountains was perfect for making the time stop (or at least go by a little slower!). Without further ado, here is my photo diary from my little getaway...

Our cabin was on Seventh Lake in Inlet, just outside of Old Forge. Each night the sunset was beautiful, and somehow managed to look different every day. I spent a lot of time reading on the dock (currently reading this industry favorite!), kayaking, and relaxing by our bonfires each day.

Each day I went on a different hike — my favorite ones were Bald Mountain and Rocky Point Mountain. The views just couldn't be beat!

We also rented a beautiful pontoon boat and spent the day on a few of the Fulton Chain Lakes, which is a string of eight lakes that all connect. We stocked up on lots of firewood for bonfires and s'mores each night, and of course had to have a little ice cream!

How are you spending your summer days?
To relaxation and finishing summer off strong,

XO Emily
